According to an article published in the Miami Herald by Theo Karantsalis, the neighboring Town of Medley may be towering over Miami Springs soon. According to the article, the Town of Medley has removed all height restrictions on commercial buildings. That would allow new skyscrapers to go up next door. The FAA does have some say over height requirements within the flight paths to Miami International Airport, but I think it`s safe to say we`ll be seeing large cranes and skyscrapers coming soon to the Town of Medley.
