The folks from Prologis Trade and Logistics Academy at Miami Springs Senior High School had the privilege of attending the Beacon Council Aviation Committee meeting where the highlight was a panel discussion on women in aviation last Sunday. This event was truly a unique opportunity for them as it brought together industry leaders and aspiring pilots under one roof.
The primary aim was to bridge the gap between students and industry experts. To that end, they brought along one of their students who is an aspiring pilot and has been accepted at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University for the Fall 2023 semester. This student was able to witness first-hand the challenges and triumphs that women in aviation have faced and overcome.
The panel discussion was nothing short of inspiring. The speakers shared their personal experiences, highlighting the obstacles they had to overcome and the victories they achieved in their careers. They also offered valuable advice and encouragement to our aspiring pilot and the rest of the audience.
The Aviation Committee team at Beacon Council did an excellent job in organizing this event. They brought together a diverse group of panelists who represented different aspects of the aviation industry. This ensured that attendees received a well-rounded view of the industry and the challenges faced by women in the field.
In conclusion, the panel discussion on women in aviation was an insightful and engaging program. It provided a platform for industry leaders to share their experiences, and it was an excellent opportunity for our aspiring pilot to connect with the leaders in the field. On behalf of the participants and the community of Miami Springs, we would like to extend our gratitude to the Beacon Council Aviation Committee and the panelists for their efforts in delivering such an inspiring event.
