The impact from the Coronavirus continues to grow at Fair Havens. The latest report indicates that Fair Havens has had 134 of its residents come down with the Coronavirus. In addition, 42 of Fair Havens’ staff members have also contracted the Coronavirus (COVID-19). That’s 176 people who have contracted the lethal virus related to the Miami Springs assisted living facility according to the Florida Department of Health.
All surviving residents who have contracted the virus have been transferred out to local hospitals. Unfortunately, it was too little too late for 22 Fair Havens residents who died from the virus over the past few weeks. Fair Havens has the dubious distinction of having the highest number of COVID-19 fatalities within South Florida, and the 2nd highest number of fatalities within the State of Florida.
