Miami Springs residents shared varying views on the future of tennis and pickleball.  As the City of Miami Springs issued an RFP (Request for Proposal) residents came out Monday night to share their opinions with the City Council which will ultimately decide its fate.

The majority of residents came out to support MatchPoint Tennis and Brad Nixon to continue its operation of the tennis facility.

Miami Springs resident Captain Nihal suggested that the new operators be responsible for facility maintenance and upkeep and not use public dollars.

Matthew Gonzalez congratulated Manny Fabian who has operated MatchPoint for many years, but suggested a new operator take over the operation of the tennis center.  He also suggested the City of Miami Springs take a more active role in the oversight of the center.  Gonzalez expressed that he was happy to see that the City had issued an RFP for new management.
