Quiet and sleepy Miami Springs residents were awakened again this past weekend by the Boom Boom Boom coming from Factory Town in Hialeah.  Depending on your location and the kind of windows you have, you may or may not have noticed the noise.

I first noticed the music Friday morning as I let the dogs out.  I could hear club music at around 5:30am in my backyard.  I wondered, “What neighbor is jamming to this music so early in the morning?”  I didn’t think much of it at the time.

Nevertheless, when I came out the front door, I could hear the music again.  This time with the noticeable Boom, Boom, Boom.  That’s when it hit me that the music was coming from Hialeah’s Factory Town.

Due to the heavy rains we had Friday, it seems like the music was either canceled or was drowned out by the weather.  By Saturday night, much of the bad weather had cleared and the party was back on.  Boom, boom, boom.  Thump, thump, thump.

Sunday night and into early Monday morning, the music was back.  A Miami Springs resident messaged us this morning and said, “I wanted to let you know that the thumping, boom boom noise (from Factorytown?) is back, louder than ever. It’s been going on since early yesterday evening, and is still going on at 6:54 this morning. My windows are shaking.” – Carmen

Bill Wetmore posted on the Miami Springs Community Group on Facebook Friday morning, “Factorytown is back at it.”

Joshua Ceballos asked today, “Anybody else hear the music last night at 1 A.M.?”

This morning you could definitely hear the music from Factory Town.  For those with Hurricane Impact Windows, the sound may be imperceptible.  For those without impact windows, it can be a constant shaking and vibrating of the windows to every single bass drop.

We’ll find out at tonight’s Miami Springs City Council Meeting if there is any discussion regarding this past weekend’s loud event from Factory Town.

The City of Miami Springs filed a lawsuit against Factory Town back in 2022.  Factory Town responded by mitigating the amount of noise that impacted Miami Springs.  For the last two years it did seem to get better.  But this past weekend’s concert event was definitely louder and noticeable miles away in Miami Springs.

  1. They simply laughed on our faces with those legal paperwork that was issued to them last year. Hope no one goes postal during their next event.

  2. Oh yeah, loud and clear from my backyard on De Soto about 1.5 mi away. I have impact glass, but bass travels further than high frequencies, and glass is a bass trap as much as it is a deterrent, so the low frequencies are rattling through the house at 4am as a result.

Not that the proprietors care. The developer, Avra Jain, doesn’t live anywhere near the establishment, so she doesn’t experience the diminished quality of life that Miami Springs residents have had to reckon with. Much like the Springs Center developers, these grifters are chasing high returns from underused areas in Miami while retreating to their enclaves in protected neighborhoods or on the fringes of the city where it’s silent. Mayor Bovo and his son-in-law, Oscar de la Rosa, who stepped down to avoid COI, publicly taunted residents on Instagram when we brought this issue up back in 2022, so we know where the City of Hialeah’s interests lie (hint: $$$$, not people).

I agree that MS should use its legal power to curb this abuse. I think it would be helpful to also poll Hialeah and MS residents within Factory Town’s sonic trajectory to better understand public sentiment, which I suspect is not great despite what any spokesperson for this place says. There is no reason why an open air mega club should be allowed to do “business” at the expense of an entire city’s residents’ wellbeing.

  3. Yes, I heard it in the middle of the night. Thanks to my hurricane glass windows, it didn’t prevent me from sleeping. Nonetheless, it’s not acceptable and the City of Miami Springs needs to again use whatever legal means it has at its disposal to put an immediate stop to this.
