Gas is once again available in Miami Springs below $4 per gallon. The Westar Gas Station on the Circle has regular 87 octane gas available for $3.89 / gallon if you pay cash and $3.94 / gallon if you pay credit. The Westar Gas Station has consistently been the lowest priced gas station in Miami Springs. The last time we reported seeing gas below $4 / gallon was back in March when the Westar Gas Station had the cheapest gas in all of Miami-Dade County.
That’s a whole lot better than the nearly $5 / gallon we were seeing about a month ago. However, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the average price for a gallon of gas in Miami was just $2.96 in July of last year. And believe it or not, that was high compared to the July 2020 average of just $2.064 per gallon.
Will we ever see gas prices below $3 again? Who knows? Nevertheless, lower gas prices will help to stymie inflation as lower gas prices reduces the shipping costs of all goods. Hopefully, this trend of lower gas prices will continue.
