In a battle of high school baseball superweights, Miami Springs Senior High baseball took on Taravella high school yesterday. The Hawks were down early with a score of 1-6 at the end of the 3rd inning. However, a late rally in the sixth inning put the score at 5-6. Unfortunately, the late rally by the Hawks could not get them over the top with the final score: Miami Springs 5 – Taravella 6.
The tough loss is only the second loss of the season for the hot Golden Hawks. They are now 13 – 2 for the season. The Hawks will take on Florida Christian on Friday at 7:15pm.
