The Florida Department of Health is reporting 491 cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Miami-Dade County. The cases in Miami-Dade County represents 25% of the nearly 2,000 cases in the State of Florida.  Fortunately, Miami-Dade County has not reported any deaths related to COVID-19, yet.  We’re also happy to share that there are no reported cases of Coronavirus in Miami Springs, yet.

Demographics

Out of the 491 cases in Miami-Dade County, 60% of the cases were men / 40% were women.  The average age for people who tested positive for the Coronavirus is 46 with the range as young as 10 and as old as 99.  Fortunately, the Department of Health reports that only 55 of the 491 cases have required hospitalizations in Miami-Dade County.  And again, no fatalities, yet.
