Here’s a clue. If you have tinted windows across your entire front windshield, the police are likely to pull you over. It seems crazy that anyone would tint the entire front windshield. That’s like driving with a sign that says, “Please Mr. Police Officer. I want you to pull me over.”
Well, according to the City of Miami Springs Police Department, they spotted a black Honda Accord as it entered from Hialeah at around 2am on Wednesday, March 30th. The black Honda had what police described as “very dark window tinting covering the entire windshield.” Miami Springs Police followed the vehicle ad stopped it in the area of Morningside and Minola Drive.
The car had two occupants, a male driver and a female passenger. When the cops asked for “License and Registration” the driver produced a Florida ID card. According to Police the driver stated “I don’t have an actual Driver’s License. I know I shouldn’t be driving.” The records check revealed that the driver, “Gerald Sims” only had a State assigned Driver’s License Number that contained a total of eight suspensions.
The female passenger was subsequently asked to exit the vehicle. That’s when police allegedly found a baggie of Ecstasy (MDMA) on the passenger seat. According to police, a K-9 search of the vehicle revealed 41 baggies of Ecstasy, Crack Cocaine, and Meth. Police allege that they also found two vials of suspected GHB, also known as the date rape drug.
As a result, the driver, Gerald Sims, was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license.
The passenger, Danielle Richardson was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, meth, GHB, and MDMA. According to Miami Springs Police, all are 3rd degree felonies.
