In 2015 we warned you that the new Miami Springs pool was going to be much smaller than the grand olympic sized pool we had for over 50 years. We also informed you that much of the money was going into creating more buildings. In other words, more building space. Less pool space. Now you can see the construction of the new pool with your own eyes. Total construction cost: $5 MILLION.
Halloween is all about the kids. Of course, we know that COVID shut down tons of activities that kids used to enjoy. But this year, the Miami Springs Halloween Parade was back. And it was great to see so many kids participating and dressed up for the occasion.
The Parade starts off on South Esplanade near on the back side of Miami Springs Elementary towards Westward Drive. Then, the kids make a left on Westward towards the Circle. At the Circle, the kids make a U-Turn and head towards City Hall where they make a final right turn on Park Street and return to Miami Springs Elementary.
The Miami Springs Senior High Marching Band was on hand leading the parade along the the Miami Springs Senior High Cheerleaders and the Miami Springs Senior High Golden Girls.
Special thanks to the Miami Springs Police Department and the Virginia Gardens Police Department who were on hand to secure the parade route and support our wonderful community.
