Historical Society Hosts Beautiful Car Show at Springs Museum

Congratulations to Miami Springs Historical Society President and former Miami Springs Councilman, Jaime Petralanda, for his incredibly successful inaugural Car Show. The event brought in scores of classic cars and hundreds of automotive enthusiasts to beautiful Miami Springs.

More importantly, the event brought people from across South Florida to experience the exhibits and the history preserved at the Miami Springs Historical Society Museum. The Museum was open to all visitors and is open every Saturday at no charge.

Opening Ceremony

Jaime Petralanda was joined by Miami Springs Mayor Maria Mitchell, Miami Springs Councilman Walter Fajet, Florida State Representative Alex Rizo, and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera for the opening ceremony.

Beautiful Cars

The show attracted a wide variety of cars, trucks, and SUVs ranging from classic VW Bugs to Mustangs to Jeeps to classic Aston Martins and Bentleys.

We especially loved seeing the beautiful 1931 Bentley (above) next to the Aston Martin Lagonda (shown below).

Recognizing Donors to the Historical Society

Jaime Petralanda was joined by members of the Historical Society for a special thank you ceremony to everyone who has donated to the Miami Springs Historical Society Museum. Author and Historian Seth Bramson was among the dignitaries at the event. And Petralanda gave a special tribute to Yvonne Shonberger who is retiring from the Historical Society after being part of the history of the group since the 1980s.
