WPLG Local 10 is reporting that the Miami Springs Doctor that was charged with a hate crime back in 2021, has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
According to the report, Dr. Jennifer Wright accepted a plea offer for misdemeanor battery and criminal mischief. The plea agreement includes one year of probation.
According to WPLG, the charges for witness tampering were dismissed.
You may recall that Dr. Wright was initially charged with a felony hate crime for an incident that occurred at the Hialeah Drive Publix back in 2021. However, in the State Attorney’s memo, it was clear they did not feel they had enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a felony hate crime had occurred.
