According to forecasts from the National Hurricane Center, there may be a tropical storm in the area for Labor Day Weekend.
As of the 8am update from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Dorian is forecasted to strengthen into a Hurricane initially and then weaken into a Tropical Storm after passing Hispaniola. This would put Dorian as a Tropical Storm by Sunday morning somewhere near or over Florida.
As you know, many things can change in a 5 day forecast. Furthermore, some storms can completely fall apart after interacting with the mountains of Hispaniola.
Tropical Storm Dorian is NOT an imminent threat, but it’s a good idea to start reviewing your supplies and hurricane plan while keeping an eye on the progress of Tropical Storm Dorian.
