Video: Alleged Burglar Caught on Camera

Miami Springs residents shared this video allegedly showing a man entering a vehicle and taking a briefcase.  Here are the facts as shared by the resident who wished to stay anonymous:

  • Burglary and theft occurred on Thursday, June 24 at approximately 2pm.
  • The vehicles were parked outside Old Tom’s on NW 36th Street
  • The burglar stole a briefcase with closing documents.  Fortunately, nothing of significant value was stolen.
  • The briefcase was stolen from the floor of the passenger seat.
  • The owner of the SUV is a Miami Springs resident
  • A Police Report was filed with the Police Department

Folks, as you can see by the video, there are opportunistic thieves that test cars as they walk along.  Once they find an unlocked car, they filter through looking for anything quick and potentially valuable.  We can’t stress enough how important it is to keep your car doors locked.
