Miami Springs resident, Dr. Jose Gamez, was recently showcased at the 14th Boomer Expo held on July 28 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. With more than 2,000 visitors, the expo showcased vendors from health, financial planning, travel and entertainment industries and received exceptional interest from those in attendance. Among the exhibitors was Dr. Gamez` Alzheimers Team (www.AlzheimersTeam.com), an online community dedicated to raising awareness about the disease and the development of new treatments for people living with the condition.
Dr. Jose Gamez is part of the 12 member Alzheimer`s Team made up of local neurologists. According to AlzheimersTeam.com, Dr. Jose Gamez has been practicing medicine for over 33 years in the Miami area. His specialty is Psychiatry with a sub-specialty in Geriatric Psychiatry. He is currently the Chief of the Psychiatry Department & Medical Director for the psychiatry Unit at Palmetto General Medical Center.
Dr. Gamez is Assistant Professor at the University of Miami and Clinical Psychiatry Instructor at Nova Southeastern University. He is also a community leader spokesman for mental health topics at Univision Spanish Network and Medical Director & CEO at Galiz Research. Dr. Gamez has been conducting clinical trials for over 20 years from Phase I-IV and always meeting sponsors` goals.
