Joe Echeverria shared the following sweet Thanksgiving Day rescue story.Ā  According to Echeverria, the family was coming home from a Thanksgiving Dinner when they noticed a kitten was inside the engine bay of one of his vehicles.

Echeverria contacted the Miami Springs Police DepartmentĀ  “…And in less than 3 minutes these 3 young police officers show up.”Ā

The young officers successfully rescued the kitten capping off a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.Ā  As Echeverria said, “…it wasn’t easy.”

Echeverria added, “A bunch of thanks to them…With young police officers like these, I see a great future in the MSPD.Ā  I salute the Blue and I stand for them… This is why we need the Blue… Thank you guys.”

We’d like to thank Joe Echeverria for taking the time and effort to rescue the kitten and for calling the Miami Springs Police Department when he realized he needed help.Ā  Of course, we’d like to thank the wonderful, community oriented officers at the Miami Springs Police Department for always going above and beyond to help our residents.

So what’s going to happen to the cute kitten?Ā  Well, after the ordeal, Joe Echeverria added, “Happy ending.Ā  I ended up keeping the kitten.”

That truly is a wonderful way to end your Thanksgiving Day.
