On April 8th, Miami Springs will hold a vote that will determine whether or not a small (really small) piece of land (currently an office parking lot) will be sold.
The land in question is already outside the fenced in portion of the golf course and will in no way impact the current use of the golf course.
The current property owner is interested in selling the adjacent property to Springs on the Green LLC. Springs on the Green, LLC would like to build a new hotel on this Eldron Drive property.
As you know, Eldron Drive is a known blighted area of our community and this would bring a desirable new construction to enhance the area.
Further, this would add much needed commercial tax revenues to the city.
– New construction replaces an existing parking lot and older single story building.
– Added recurring revenues to the City of Miami Springs.
– No impact to the golf course.
The only thing left to do is vote YES on Tuesday, April 8th.
