Join us in congratulating the newest member of the Miami Springs Police Force: Officer Gustavo Miranda, Jr. Officer Miranda was sworn in as the newest addition to the Miami Springs Police Department at a ceremony during the Miami Springs City Council Meeting on Monday, June 13, 2023.
Miami Springs Police Chief Armando Guzman introduced Miranda to the City Council during the ceremony. Guzman shared that Officer Miranda grew up here in Miami Springs. He played Little League and worked for the Miami Springs Recreation Department at the Rec Center. He worked as a recreational council leader and then as part of the field maintenance crew.
Chief Guzman also added that Officer Miranda was snagged away from the Hialeah Police Department who was apparently attempting to recruit Miranda.
We are thrilled for Officer Gustavo Miranda, Jr. and for the Miami Springs Community. It’s great to be able to grow up in Miami Springs and then be able to give back to the community you grew up in by protecting and serving our community. Congratulations Officer Miranda. We wish you a long and successful career within our beautiful Miami Springs Community.
