At last week’s Miami Springs City Council Meeting, Miami Springs Police Chief had the honor of swearing in the newest member of the Miami Springs Police Department, Officer Jorge Filgueira. Officer Filgueira is a Miami Springs resident and graduate of Miami Springs Senior High. We love to see a resident raised in our area return to serve and protect our beautiful neighborhood.
We’d like to congratulate Officer Filgueira on his accomplishments. Officer Filgueira was joined by a large family group that was proud to see him officially join the Miami Springs Police Department.
Officer of the Month
The Miami Springs Police Department honored Officer Fenicett Iribar as the September 2021 Miami Springs Officer of the Month. Officer Iribar was recognized for the traffic stop that occurred on September 10, 2021, that led to the arrest of Adam Ortiz and the seizure of over $20,000 in cash and over 40 pounds of cannabis.
Congratulations to Officer Iribar. We’d like to thank you for your hard work in keeping the City of Miami Springs safe.
