We have had many U.S. presidents drive by on NW 36th Street as part of a motorcade, but on Saturday, October 24, 2020, former U.S. President, Barack Obama, stopped on Fairway Drive to rally voters in support of his former Vice President, Joe Biden. The surprise stop was not shared publicly in advance.
Obama stopped at the Miami Springs office for the United Teacher’s of Dade (UTD) to share a few words. The event which was held in the parking lot on Fairway Drive to help rally support for the Biden campaign.
The UTD office is located at 5553 NW 36th St, Miami Springs, FL 33166, but there is also access from Fairway Drive as you can see above. The UTD office is just down the street from G Five Training and Wellness gym.
